The All-New 2012 Toyota Camry has arrived at Vancouver Toyota, Washington Toyota Dealer

Oct. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Significant changes have been made to the new Toyota Camry including a more aggressive front grille and side profile, improved versions of last year’s engine, suspension improvements and more.

The base L trim comes with 16-inch steel wheels, air-conditioning, power-folding mirrors, full power accessories, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, Bluetooth and a six-speaker CD sound system with auxiliary input and USB jackets.

Moving up the Camry LE adds auto headlamps, steering-wheel-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, remote keyless entry, and a six-speaker display Audio system featuring a 6.1-inch touchscreen.

Included in the Camry SE are features such as a sport-tuned suspension, foglamps, heated exterior mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, unique interior and exterior styling treatment, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, sport seats and the Display Audio System. Also available is the SE V6 model. SE V6 models come with an upgraded Display Audio system that adds navigation, HD radio, voice recognition, satellite radio and Entune smartphone and Web integration.

Upgrading to the luxurious XLE will add heated exterior mirrors, foglamps, a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver seat, a four-way power passenger seat and the Display Audio system with navigation and Entune. The XLE trim reverts to the LE’s softer suspension settings. Included on XLE V6 models are features like a rearview camera, auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery and heated driver and front passenger seats. Optional on XLE V6 models include a premium 10-speaker JBL audio system integrated with a 7-inch touchscreen hard-drive-based navigation system.

Under the hood, the 2012 Camry is offered with a choice of two engines:  a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a 3.6-liter V6 engine. Both engines drive the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. The Camry base models are powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 178 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. Buyers can upgrade to a more powerful and smoother 3.6-liter V6 engine that generates 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque.

The 2012 Toyota Camry is spacious inside. All Camry models now offer a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat. For the 2012 model, door panels are narrower for more elbow room, and door panel controls also move higher, allowing more room for the passenger’s knees.


Interior materials inside the 2012 Camry are redesigned with complementary dash textures, handsome trim and subtle, along with decorative stitching.

The new Toyota Camry is carefully designed with numerous of standard safety features including antilock brakes with brake assist, stability control, front- and rear-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and knee airbags for both driver and passenger. Also available is a blind-spot monitoring system.
