Oct. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Charlie Simpson is best known for playing lead guitar for BRIT award-winning pop band Busted and on Friday 4 November he will be taking to the stage at Swansea’s annual Sparks in the Dark fireworks display.

The former Busted front man, who sang such hits as ‘What I Go To School For’ and ‘Year 3000’, will entertain the crowds at St Helen’s Rugby Ground with a number of songs from his debut solo album, Young Pilgrim.

Frances Jenkins, Strategic Manager for Tourism, Marketing and Events said, “We are really delighted to have Charlie Simpson as our main act for this year’s fireworks night.  We know he will prove popular with the crowds and along with onstage entertainment from the Wave and Swansea Sound and a number of activities for families and youngsters inside St Helen’s Ground, Sparks in the Dark promises to be a great evening for all.”

This year, the Council’s popular annual Sparks in the Dark firework display will take place on Friday 4 November.  Gates open at 5.30pm with entertainment beginning at 6.00pm.  The evening will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display choreographed to music at 7.30pm.

We would also urge people arriving by car to park responsibly and be mindful of the residents living in the immediate area. ”

Advanced tickets are priced at £15 for families (2 adults and up to 3 children), £4.50 standard, £3.50 concessions and £3 Passport to Leisure.
