Meet 43 Smart And Talented Latin Beauties From The State Of California

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 27, 2011 - Los Angeles, CA. (October 27, 2011) – The 2011 contestants of the Miss California Latina and Miss Teen California Latina state pageants will be introduced for the first time on Friday, November 4th wearing dresses by Bettie Page Clothing. The annual Purple Carpet Event, presented by The Gala Company will be hosted by The Conga Room.  27 Miss contestants and 16 Teen contestants will participate in the competition and vie for the titles of Miss California Latina and Miss Teen California Latina respectively.  
 
“The lineup of ladies for the 2011 pageants is composed of the most beautiful, talented and poised women in California,” said Jennifer Rodriguez, owner of The Gala Company, which holds the license to both state pageants. “We are extremely excited to introduce this group of young ladies who are representatives of the values and standards the organization strives for.”

The Purple Carpet Event will take place at The Conga Room and will feature a purple carpet arrival, surprise guest performance and a host of celebrity guests. Confirmed guest include  2011 Playboy Playmate of the year and Bettie Page Clothing spokes model, Clair Sinclair, former NFL cornerback Jason Bell and TV Personality Jazmin Lopez.

Following the purple carpet arrival 2010 reigning Miss California Latina, Cindy Salaues and 2010 reigning Miss Teen California Latina, Darcy Aguayo will welcome all guests, media and contestants. The 43 Miss and Teen contestants will then take the stage and formerly introduce themselves.

Present members of the media will be invited to cast their votes to select 2011’s “Miss Photogenic.”  The winner of this honor will be announced at the pageant on November 6.

The 4th Annual Miss California Latina and Miss Teen California Latina pageants will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center on Sunday, November 6th at 6pm. The competition will be hosted by TV host of Model Latina and Universal Recording artist, Jazmin Lopez and TV personality Lorenzo Newton.  

The pageant competition will be comprised of an interview competition, a swimsuit competition (fashion wear for teens), and an evening gown competition.  During the interview portion, the judges will focus on personality, culture, intellect, successes, talents, goals and ambitions while paying special attention to each candidate’s poise, charm, self-confidence, as well as the substance of her answers.  Throughout the swimsuit/fashion wear competitions, each candidate will be judged on figure, physical fitness and confidence; and during the evening gown segment, contestants will be expected demonstrate self-confidence, sense of style, beauty and grace while modeling the gown of her choice. Winner of the Miss California Latina pageant will be representing the state at the annual Miss Latina US competition.

The Miss California Latina Pageant is the state preliminary for the Miss Latina U.S. pageant, the most prestigious and longest-running pageant system in the world for U.S. Latinas. It is currently the only national Latina pageant in the U.S. that follows traditional pageant guidelines for participants.
