Wisconsin Philharmonic Music Director Alexander Platt will visit 4 local high schools on November 2, 2011 to give free clinics to their orchestras.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 27, 2011 - Wednesday, November 2nd, Wisconsin Philharmonic Music Director, Alexander Platt, will be traveling to four area high schools – Arrowhead, Brookfield East, New Berlin Eisenhower, and Oconomowoc – to conduct free clinics with the school orchestras.  Platt will conduct a piece that is currently being worked on in the classroom and provide feedback, including facts about the musical instruments and the history of orchestral compositions, while giving advice on proper playing techniques.  It’s a great opportunity for students to interact with a professional conductor while receiving valuable feedback for getting the most out of their instruments.

The Clinics with the Maestro were established to encourage high school string players to continue their music studies.  For more information about The Wisconsin Philharmonic’s Education Programs, please visit www.wisconsinphilharmonic.org.
