Foundation Financial Group named finalist in “Best Places to Work” competition

Foundation Financial Group's Charlotte regional center is in the running to be named one of the Queen City's "Best Places to Work" for 2011.

PRLog - Oct. 27, 2011 - JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- For the second time in 2011, one of the nation’s fastest-growing financial services companies is recognized for being one of the best places to work.

The Charlotte Business Journal named Foundation Financial Group as a finalist in its annual “Best Places to Work” awards for 2011. Employees answered survey questions covering such areas as benefits and training. The survey also gauges employee morale and corporate retention. The full rankings will be unveiled at a Nov. 4 luncheon in Charlotte, and will appear in that week’s issue of the Charlotte Business Journal.

Earlier this year, Foundation Financial Group ranked No. 19 in the large company division in Florida Trend magazine’s “Best Companies To Work For in Florida” 2011 competition, which was created by Florida Trend and Best Companies Group and endorsed by the HR Florida State Council.

“In the past few years, we have worked hard to improve the benefits we offer our employees because we fully understand that we would not be where we are today without our loyal team,” said Foundation Financial Group CEO Mark W. Boyer. “The result is we have lowered employee turnover and have elevated our workplace in the midst of rapid growth and expansion while other employers are cutting their workforce and benefits.”

The Charlotte Business Journal honor comes on the heels of a number of accolades Foundation Financial Group has received in the past 11 months. In September 2011, Inc. magazine named Foundation Financial Group to its prestigious 500|5000 annual list of fastest-growing companies in the U.S. Also in September, the Jacksonville Business Journal named Foundation Financial Group CFO Tanya L. Mauro as one of 11 “Ultimate CFOs” in Northeast Florida.

In August, the Jacksonville Business Journal named Foundation Financial Group one of the Top 10 mortgage lenders in Northeast Florida, while, Florida Trend magazine named Foundation Financial Group one of the “Best Companies to Work For” in 2011 the same month. In April, the Atlanta Business Chronicle honored Foundation Financial Group as the 15th fastest-growing company in its annual Pacesetter Awards. Foundation Financial Group began the year with the Jacksonville Magazine honor of “Companies That Care” for its community volunteerism.
