The event, which will be open to all NAPFA members and any other financial professional, will allow attendees to collect valuable Continuing Education credits. “For a number of years Forbes has been committed to creating compelling, intelligent content for financial advisors and our partnership with NAPFA, including regular online columns from some of its members, is an important because we hold NAPFA’s principles in high regard,” says Matt Schifrin, vice president and investing editor for Forbes. The NAPFA-Forbes iConference is tentatively scheduled for early August 2012 and will include a day and a half of keynote presentations and breakout sessions on investment and financial planning topics. Sessions will also be made available to advisors looking to understand the Fee-Only planning compensation model and how to effectively make the transition.
