Consumers agree that the BMW X5 is a top contender in the big, powerful SUV category. The SAV impresses with remarkable agility and a responsive acceleration, two features often overlooked in larger vehicle categories. Even with its might and power, the X5 pays respect to BMW’s reputation for safety, comfort and luxury appointments. It features BMW's xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system, and offers optional third-row seating that increases capacity to seven passengers.
The X5 is available in four trim levels for Atlanta BMW shoppers: xDrive35i, xDrive35i Premium, xDrive35i Sport Activity and xDrive50i. Standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, run-flat tires, bi-xenon adaptive headlamps, dual-zone automatic climate control, leatherette upholstery and a CD player with MP3 capability. Atlanta BMW shoppers can further customize their vehicle with the option of adding heated rear seats, satellite radio and a voice-activated hard drive-based navigation system, including 12 gigabytes of dedicated media storage and DVD video capability.
The 2012 BMW X5 includes BMW’s new Brake Energy Regeneration system, which BMW says can save about 1-2% on fuel consumption. EPA estimates on the new X5 are 12/highway and 17/city.
Exterior updates that add to the X5’s new appeal include fog lamps that have been placed higher on the bumper to allow better light emissions when off-roading or driving in extremely dark conditions and rear taillights that feature a new L-shaped LED design.
Atlanta BMW shoppers who would like to take the new 2012 model for a test drive should call BMW of Macon at (478) 957 4423 or visit the dealership at 4785 Riverside Dr., Macon GA.
