Finally A legitimate Prison Consultant

Finally, Federal Offenders and their families can take advantage of a Prison Consultant who actually understands the intracies and nuiances of the Federal Prison System. A business where profit is secondary to effective advocacy.

PRLog - Oct. 27, 2011 - NEW YORK -- The idea to launch My Federal Prison Consultant originated in the early 1990's, while I was working as a case manager at the Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, NY.  Time after time, I observed inmates on my caseload pay substantial amounts of money to 'consultants' who wrote reports attorneys submitted to the sentencing judge.  They also represented offenders at Federal parole hearings to advocate for early release.  Federal prison consulting was a novel concept at the time, and post-conviction consultants were few.  One thing I did notice was how little these "consultants" actually understood about the Federal prison system.  Most were ex-offenders who served time, had a very limited knowledge of the system, yet portrayed themselves as the experts.

Over the course of two decades as a Federal Prison Case Manager I've accumulated a vast amount of practical information.  I have researched innumerable sentencing consultants.  Moreover, I've consistently maintained a goal-oriented mindset which has been focused on one question alone:  How can I apply my skills and knowledge in order to effectively assist offenders in preparing for their sentencing and subsequent navigation through the Federal Prison System?

In addition to my experience in the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), I also acquired useful experience while working in the capacity of a Parole Officer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where I supervised offenders and prepared pre-sentence investigation reports. (also known as the PSR or PSI)

I've personally seen countless offenders get caught up in situations which could have been avoided, had they turned to My Federal Prison Consultant for a proper pre-incarceration consultation.  My experience, observation, and analysis as a case manager in the trenches of the Federal Prison System, have supplied me with the know-how necessary to provide the following quality consulting services:

•Thoroughly prepare offenders for incarceration & their Federal PSR Interview
•Effectively assist incarcerated offenders and/or their attorneys dissect the intricacies of Bureau of Prisons Policy (ie: classification & designation)
•Systematically analyze  sentence computations for accuracy.
•Precisely list factors considered in the determination of program eligibility like the Residential Drug Treatment Program (RDAP).
•Thoughtfully walk attorneys and offenders through programs such as Residential Re-entry Placement (RRC/Halfway House) and the Furlough Program.

In celebration of my 'retirement', (from the Otisville, NY Satellite Camp) I've launched this website to promote my business.  It explains how and why my extensive and multi-faceted experiences working in prison make me a dynamic and well-rounded consultant. The years of hard work and practical experience I bring to the table is unique and unparalleled in the prison-consulting industry.  I have held assignments in multiple and professionally diverse environments, including, the Central Office in Washington DC (policy work groups & policy writing), the Regional Office in Philadelphia, PA (temporary duty assignments as Regional CIM Coordinator ) and the New York City Community Corrections Office (temporary assignments to process Half-way House (RRC) referrals and designations.  I have also worked with Administrative (pre-trial), Low, Medium and Minimum (Camp) and Witness Security (WITSEC) populations.  All of the above, coupled with my experience working directly with offenders in multiple prison environments, endows me with an all-encompassing  perspective and acute insight no other consulting firm can offer.

Over the past three years, I've debriefed numerous white-collar offenders about their prison consulting experiences and have come to one conclusion:  MOST, IF NOT ALL, 'CONSULTANTS'  PREY ON INDIVIDUALS BY CHARGING THEM FOR PUBLIC INFORMATION AND EVEN MISINFORMATION!  The majority of prison consulting businesses are operated by ex-offenders and high-level prison administrators.  Their 'expertise' and perspective is extremely limited.  Don't be taken by the prison guide books, seemingly-sophisticated virtual tours, boot camps and all the smoke and mirrors that take advantage of anxious and desperate offenders.  Believe it or not, I will actually sit down with you and/or your family, face -to-face, in a private office and discuss the issues most consequential to your situation.  Upon heeding My Federal Prison Consultant's advice, your understandable fears and anxieties will subside, and you will soon take great comfort with the wealth of information you truly deserve to hear from a quality, experienced federal prison consultant.

I invite you to thoroughly review my site and the associated tabs, before you make an uninformed decision to hire a 'consultant'.  Throughout the pages of my website, you will see exactly what sets me apart from the competition.   I look forward to working with you, and to relieving your anxiety, dispelling the myths and rumors you've heard.  I will help you avoid the detrimental and unfortunate advice you would have received from the many profiteers.  It's plain and simple.  My insight into the federal prison system can't be matched in any way, shape or form.

Understanding, as well as correctly applying, the hundreds of federal policies and guidelines, renders many benefits and advantages for offenders.  Any number of goals can and will be accomplished within current policy. The high-quality, long-standing, professional service and advice I have provided to the federal prison population over the last two decades as a federal prison case manager, will be the same high-quality, long-standing, professional service l will provide to my clientele, as their private-sector, federal prison consultant

A substantial number of my clients are first- time, white- collar offenders who, understandably, want to know what to expect once incarcerated so they can best prepare for the experience.  If you fall into this category, rest assured, you will not get more accurate information from any other consulting firm.  Most, if not all, consultants overlook numerous preparation topics and even provide inaccurate, detrimental information.  I routinely make it a point to carefully review the materials federal inmates are given by their consultants.  It is remarkable how little they understand the prison system.  It is unfortunate to observe  intelligent, articulate business professionals   taken advantage of at their most vulnerable time.  My Federal Prison Consultant  will help you avoid being taken advantage of.

In addition to prison preparation services, I also provide assistance to incarcerated offenders families and loved ones.  I will be a resource to support them as they meet the wide array of challenges in navigating the Bureau of Prisons during your  period of incarceration.   We will meet in my office, I will be able to visit you if needed in prison, and you will be able to e-mail during incarceration.
