Texas Ladies Vie for the Crown at the Miss Black Texas USA Pageant

Oct. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- On November 13, 2011, the Miss Black Texas USA Organization will continue to make history  at the annual Miss Black Texas USA Pageant. Young ladies lives will be changed when they get the opportunity of a lifetime to represent the great state of Texas as a representative of the Miss Black Texas USA  Organization at 3:00p.m. at the host hotel, Crowne Plaza Hotel North Houston Greenspoint. The reigning Miss Black Texas USA Savannah Williams, Miss Black Texas USA Talented Teen Selena Mitchell, and Miss Black Texas Preteen Bridget Reagins will be on hand to crown their successors, Ms. Black Texas and the first Miss Black Texas USA Princess. Texas native Miss Black USA Ocielia Gibson will be a special guest.

The competition begins on Saturday, November 12, 2011, when contestants from across Texas compete in the Miss Black Texas USA Preliminary Talent Competition at 7:00 p.m. All contestants will showcase their talent and public speaking skills. At the conclusion of the competition, guests will be invited to an autograph party to intermingle with all contestants.  The Miss Black Texas USA Final Pageant event is Sunday, November 13, 2011, at 3:00 p.m., where personalities Yolanda Green and KHOU’s Rucks Russell will emcee. All pageant events will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel North Houston Greenspoint (425 North Sam Houston Parkway East, Houston, Texas 77060).

All contestants will compete in private interview, fitness, evening gown, talent, and on-stage question and answer for the titles of Miss Black Texas USA, Miss Black Texas USA Talented Teen, Miss Black Texas USA Princess, Miss Black Texas Preteen, and Ms. Black Texas. The newly crowned Miss Black Texas USA and Miss Black Texas USA Talented Teen will move on to compete nationally at the Miss Black USA Pageant during the summer of 2012 for a chance to win a $20,000 scholarship and a host of other prizes. Texas is still thrilled about former Miss Black Texas USA Ocielia Gibson, who took the Miss Black USA title in August 2011.

In addition to a fulfilling weekend of pageantry, guests are encouraged to bring their pocketbooks to shop at the many vendors that will be present at all events.

Tickets to all Miss Black Texas USA events are currently on sale. Preliminary Show tickets for Saturday, November 12, 2011, at 7:00p.m. are $25.00 while the Miss Black Texas USA Pageant Final Competition event tickets for Sunday, November 13, 2011, at 3:00p.m. are $35.00. An All-Access Pass, which includes one preliminary show ticket and one final night show ticket, is $50.00. A special Director’s Awards Brunch will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at 10:00am at the host hotel. Tickets are $25.00. Get tickets early to avoid higher prices.
