Guns and Hoses Challenges for Fundraising

Oct. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Fort Walton Beach, Fla. - Please join us for a family fun event featuring local firefighters and law enforcement officers on the Emerald Coast. American Business Woman Association (ABWA) Emerald Coast Chapter is hosting this fundraising event Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Emerald Coast Convention Center, Fort Walton Beach.

Watch as the fire and police teams perform wacky challenges as they compete to win the coveted traveling trophy and earn bragging rights until next year. There will be bleacher seating available along with projection screens to see all the action. This will truly be a wonderful afternoon of fun and excitement sure to delight the entire family!

“This event has been planned as a remembrance of the 9/11 tragedy and in respect for our first responders who bravely protect us on a daily basis.  We are very pleased that several local firemen and policemen participating.  This event is shaping up to be an incredibly fun afternoon.  The Emerald Coast Chapter of ABWA is honored to be able to present such an event to our community,” said Kathy Houchins, local ABWA chapter president.

During the event, there will be a recognition ceremony for our local fire houses and police departments in which they will be honored for their commitment to keeping our community safe. The event is being held in recognition of the 10th year anniversary of the September 11th tragedy and the courageous actions of both law enforcement and emergency response communities on that day.

This event is sponsored by the local Emerald Coast Chapter of ABWA and all proceeds of the event will benefit the 9/11 Foundation and local Chapter’s ABWA women’s education fund. Tickets are $20.00 per adult and $10 per child or become a sponsor.  Each ticket holder will receive a snack bag filled with goodies and a drink.
