Follow on Google News | Kanki’s Annual Sushi Freak Benefitting the Pretty In Pink Foundation Raises $10,000Second annual event has double the attendees and raises double the proceeds supporting area breast cancer patients who are uninsured or under insured
By: ClickCulture Communications Vittoria Longiotti, Kanki owner, said, “I have truly enjoyed working with such a great group of professional and passionate people. Everyone went above and beyond the call of duty to make this Sushi Freak the best ever. And when I say ‘above and beyond’, I deeply believe that it wasn’t a sense of duty but a sense of genuine desire that was shown at the event as well as the weeks and months leading up to it. That desire and passion resulted in our more than doubling the proceeds from last year to $10,000! With the resources and leadership of the Pretty in Pink Foundation, I am sure this will go a long way to help them in their mission.” Penny Lauricella, MHA, Pretty in Pink Executive Director said, “The event was so inspiring and so much fun. We can’t thank the sponsors and participants enough for helping us as we strive to look Beyond The Ribbon™ in hopes of one day eliminating financial barriers to breast cancer treatment. Our results are tangible and can be measured in how our Champions give back to their families, friends, and communities with their commitment to life.” The crowd of over 500 enjoyed the popular band Love Tribe, as well as fun top 40 music from the Famous DJ Grant. Sponsors included Zspotlight.com (http://www.zspotlight.com), Social Magazine (http://www.socialthemagazine.com), Pepsi (http://www.pepsibottlingventures.com), Logic Limo (http://www.logiclimo.blogspot.com) About Kanki (http://www.kanki.com ): Kanki was founded in 1972, by those who believe in hospitality, quality, and having fun.
