Volkswagen to Feature New Model Designs and Green Technology at Upcoming LA International Auto Sh

Oct. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- October 27th, 2011, Los Angeles, California – Volkswagen fans have a lot to be excited about during the 2011 Los Angeles International Auto Show being held downtown November 18th-27th.  The show will feature many new Volkswagen model designs, green cars, and innovative new technology for participants to explore and experience for themselves!  

Volkswagen has announced that they will be introducing two new vehicles at the 2011 LA International Auto Show including the North American debut of the Volkswagen Beetle R convertible.  This new version of the popular model is a much anticipated update for Volkswagen Beetle drivers.  The new 2012 VW Beetle R was released this year and is sportier, more efficient, and more powerful than ever.  For many Volkswagen Beetle fans, styling is everything, and the 2012 VW Beetle R measures 3.3 inches wider, 6 inches longer, and .5 inches lower than previous models giving it a more muscular appearance.  In addition to these recent style updates, Volkswagen has announced that the new convertible option will soon be available and event participants will not want to miss the opportunity to get a sneak peek at it.  

Volkswagen has also announced that they will be unveiling the World Premier Debut of their newest model, but have yet to divulge what it will be.  In addition to the Volkswagen World Debut, there will be 17 other exciting vehicle World Debuts presented from other automotive brands.  

The LA International Auto show will be held at the Los Angeles Convention center located at 1201 South Figueroa Street in LA, California.  As the largest international auto show in southern California, Orange County car fans will not want to miss this amazing opportunity to view new models and technology from their favorite brands including Audi, Aston Martin, Bentley, Ford, GM, Mazda, Hyundai, and VW.  Fun events are scheduled all weekend long including exciting technology exhibits, a design challenge, kids’ fun zone, and the Green Car of the Year awards ceremony. Thanks to its incredible clean diesel technology, the eco-friendly 2012 Volkswagen Passat TDI is proud to be honored as one of the five nominees for this year’s award, and hopes to be the 2011 winner.  Other Volkswagen clean diesel TDI vehicles will also be on display including the VW Jetta TDI, and the VW Jetta Sportswagen TDI as part of the green-inspired alternative fuel vehicle exhibit.
