“Often, a patient’s eye rotation center can vary by more than 30 percent per individual per eye,” says Dr. Brian Miller. “Using the Visioffice System, we can obtain every possible parameter required with extreme accuracy. That information, coupled with frame, head and eye behavior data creates a very personalized lens for our patients,” he says.
Visioffice also aids in the selection of lens coatings by putting the patient through personalized simulations and interactive animations that show the benefits of various coatings such as no-glare and polarized.
“The Visioffice system takes eyewear dispensing into a new realm of possibilities for patients,” Miller says.
For the selection of frames, Visioffice contains an interface that uses photographs of patients to help them select the best frame style for their faces. Up to four frames can be saved in the system for side-by-side comparisons.
“This is ideal for patients whose eyes were dilated as part of their exam” says Dr. Mark Miller, who explains that patients can experience blurred vision after their pupils are dilated making it difficult to judge the appearance of frames.
Vision Source Summerlin/Lakes will be offering the technology to its patients in mid-November. Advanced Eye Care, a Vision Source practice, is located at 7901 W. Tropical Parkway, Ste. 130; 702-737-3937.
