The United States Bankruptcy Court Ordered Liquidation of David’s Jewelers starts October 27

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 26, 2011 - Westminster, MD: The United States Bankruptcy Court ordered liquidation of David’s Jewelers’ inventory starts tomorrow, Thursday, October 27th at 10:00 am, offering up to 60% off of the original retail prices.The sale will continue until everything has been sold.

On October 7, 2011, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland ordered the multi-million dollar liquidation of David’s Jewelers, at 15 South Cranberry Road. The store has been closed since July 29, 2011, when the company’s Chapter 11 reorganization was converted to a Chapter 7 liquidation. The entire inventory of diamond, gold, precious stone and designer jewelry and watches is included in the sale; nothing is excluded.

“David’s was an unfortunate casualty of the current adverse economic conditions,” commented Zvi Guttman, the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee overseeing the liquidation. “They tried to reorganize in Chapter 11 but were unable to sustain operations.  The only option left is to liquidate all assets for the maximum return in order to satisfy its creditors.”
