Follow on Google News | "Care-Connect at The Village" Licensed Home Companion Services Delivers Personal AssistanceThe Village at Gleannloch Farms, the Lutheran-sponsored community for active adults ages 62 and up, has successfully launched a new service program called Care-Connect at The Village.
By: Forte PR “Our new Care-Connect at The Village program offers an unprecedented level of freedom and personal choice to our residents who need a little extra assistance for themselves or a loved one,” said Kathy Johanns, executive director at The Village at Gleannloch Farms. “At the same time, it places highly professional caregivers in-home with those who request it so that they can enjoy the elevated support levels without ever leaving home! It’s an extension of our overall emphasis on wellness.” Home Care service is a broad term that embraces a range of personal assistance that residents may require as aging brings on the difficulty of daily living, excluding medical services. These services typically include assistance in such activities as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, laundry and linen changes, light meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation, incontinence care and just basic companionship. They are all included in Care-Connect at the Village, Personal Companion Services. Care-Connect at the Village is licensed by the State of Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services under license number 014277. “We are excited about providing this new layer of customer service for our residents,” said Monica Kelly, who manages the new service under the direct supervision of executive director Kathy Johanns. “Importantly, our residents don’t get an outside stranger coming in but rather a known and trusted staff person from Lutheran Social Services, the faith based organization that owns and operates our entire community.” End
