Follow on Google News | New Program Makes Housing and Healthcare More Accessible for Local SeniorsThe Village at Gleannloch Farms, the Lutheran-sponsored community for active adults ages 62 and up, has launched a new program designed to lower the financial requirements for accessing senior housing and healthcare at the community.
By: Forte PR “We know that the local housing market has made it difficult for seniors to get the equity they need to make the move to a senior living community,” said Kathy Johanns, executive director at The Village at Gleannloch Farms. “So we have lowered the entry threshold in response to that hurdle. For those area seniors who have waited for the best time to move to a retirement community, this is that time. Now seniors and their adult children can take advantage of market conditions that may not return for years.” Entry fees have been reduced by as much $60,000 in some cases. The new program encompasses a range of floor plans—all of which have never been occupied. All eight homes offered are independent living apartments or cottages. However, residents in these homes are given priority for moving into the health services area, should the need arise. Health services include assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care areas. “We know that everyone has lots of questions about how this program works,” said Ken Halbert, director of sales for the community. “We welcome calls or visits to get more details and find out how the program applies to a given floor plan. The good news is that there is a world of options to choose from and everyone can find one that fits their family needs.” End
