In addition to generating donations for Wounded Warriors, this event will also celebrate the induction of several local blues musicians into the Heritage Blues National Hall of Fame including,  “Leon J” Jay Morton, Scotty Spenner and Sal Carlino.

The Spooky Blues Mini-Fest is the brain child of “Leon J” Jay Morton, who recently received the Ambassador and Great Blues Artist designations from the Heritage Foundation’s National - Blues Hall of Fame™.  He is also the founder of Mini-Fest Productions LLC, which was created to help non-profits elevate visibility for their organizations and increase donations to support their efforts.  This premier event partners Mini-Fests with the Wounded Warrior Project, which is a non-profit organization that provides programs structured to “nurture the mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment and engagement” for those that have “incurred service-connected wounds, injuries, or illnesses on or after September 11, 2001.”

“We wanted to create a fun event, that would draw the community out to support the courageous men and women who have been injured in the line of duty while protecting our country.  Since music is the universal language, we felt that gathering some of our finest local talent together for our ‘Spooky Blue’s Mini-Fest’ would provide a great day of fun, music and celebration while helping those that keep our nation safe,” said Jay Morton, Mini-Fest founder.  “The key purpose of the Mini-Fest business model is to give back to the community and help non-profit organizations generate donations to continue their great efforts.”

This event will offer something for the whole family including costume and pumpkin carving contests.  Vendors will be onsite offering a wide range of food and libations and there will be room to set up lawn chairs for the day of music.  More information is available at www.minifestproductions.com.
