Oct. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- The St. Louis Lyon Sister Cities organization celebrates the 25th Annual Fête du Beaujolais Nouveau and Our 35th anniversary as a Sister City in St. Louis Friday, November 18, 2011. Apéritifs will be served at 7:00pm with dîner at 8:00pm at The Racquet Club of St. Louis with special thanks to host member Michael O’Reilly.

Beaujolais nouveau (French pronunciation: [boʒɔlɛ nuvo]) is a red wine made from Gamay grapes produced in the Beaujolais region of France. It is the most popular vin de primeur, fermented for just a few weeks before being released for sale on the third Thursday of November. This "Beaujolais Nouveau Day" sees heavy marketing, with races to get the first bottles to different markets around the globe.

There will be various items available as door prizes thanks to our generous donors.

Proceeds from the Fête support Nason-Goodman Scholarships for qualified students participating in exchange programs, as well as business, cultural and goodwill exchanges between St. Louis and Lyon. Contributions are deductible to the extent provided by law.

Reservations Limited, Black Tie Optional
