The only play festival celebrating dyslexic writers and artists

Dyspla is an exciting weeklong festival which profiles the work of dyslexic writers and artists. The 2011 festival will take place at the Theatro Technis, London.

Oct. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Come along to Dyspla in November, and enjoy a brilliant feast of literary talent, artistic expression, new drama, plays, poetry and a great line-up of guest speakers all working in the industry - all dyslexic.

Dyspla is all about dyslexic story-makers and creatives, celebrating their unique, innovative and lateral take on the world around them.

The Theatro Technis, Camden will be host to this year's dyspla festival - the only festival of its kind, featuring creative work across the spectrum of theatre and art.

The festival opens with a Gala night & wine reception on the 1st November 2011 at 7pm, with extracts from each play to be performed across the week.

Dyspla will present an exciting line-up of guest speakers as well as art and performances across the week - not to be missed.

Wordtrigger© is a game which utilises new developments in teaching methods to improve the English language skills and confidence of dyslexic children aged six to nine years old. The innovative, educational board game is designed to be multi-sensory; encouraging players to find patterns, shapes and imagery within words and then convey these to other players through creative methods.

This research exhibition aims to investigate thinking approaches to the process of work conducted by visual and aural artists who are Dyslexic. The purpose is to investigate artists approach to the process of their creative work through multi dimensional ways of thinking. The exhibition Ways of Thinking is a result of evidence collected through mixed methods by working with artists as part of the research process.
