Gordon McKernan, Big Buddy Program & 13TH Annual Day Of The Mentor

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 25, 2011 - On October 28, 2011, Gordon McKernan and 13 other attorneys and staff members are excited to participate in Big Buddy’s Program 13th Annual Day of the Mentor.  This is a day where children are invited to spend a day at McKernan Law Firm (and other businesses throughout the community) to make an impact on a child whose parent has been incarcerated.  Through an active employee, Gordon decided to get involved in the young teenagers lives to help make an impact on them.  The participation in the office was phenominal, with a total of 14 volunteers.

If you are interested in becoming a part of the Big Buddy Program, you can have an incredible impact on these teens.  Activities include (as outlined in the Big Buddy Program):

1.   1 Weekend activity per month
2.   1 Card or call per month
3.   1 letter per month
4.   Attend the match ceremony, ending or recommitment ceremony or additional training workshops

Gordon and the firm are anticipating the opportunity to invest time in these young adults and hopefully change the path they may encounter in their lives.  Whether to further their education, their career choices, or just to become a mentor themselves one day – we know this is a great opportunity to invest in our future – children.
