The ’12 Weeks of Champagne’ will showcase some of the world’s most famous Champagne houses including Taittinger, Veuve Clicquot and Dom Perignon.
Each week a different Champagne will be featured at exclusive gourmet events, festive fizz lunches and in the Michelin-starred restaurant ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’.
It will also be served by the flute as part of Decadent Afternoon Teas enjoyed in the Arkle Bar and Lounge.
The highlights of the ’12 Weeks of Champagne’ include:
• The Festive Fizz Lunch on December 13 takes place in the ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’ restaurant. Champagne produced by G H Mumm will be the highlight of this two course lunch for £45 per person. This special Champagne house has held a Royal Warrant for the last 46 years, being a favourite of HM The Queen.
• Experience the Champagne created by small family producers at an exclusive gourmet dinner in ‘The Riedel Cellar at The Chester Grosvenor’. Sommelier Garry Clarke will be presiding over an intimate meal for just 12 diners in the unique surroundings of one of the most comprehensive wine cellars in the UK. The dinner, for £175 per person, takes place on November 16.
• A complimentary glass of that week’s featured champagne when dining from Simon’s Signature Menu in the ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’ restaurant. The ’12 Weeks of Champagne’ offer is available Tuesday to Thursday, during October and November, subject to availability.
• Indulge in a decadent afternoon tea for two with a glass of Dom Perignon during Christmas week for £80. Named after the Benedictine monk credited with refining the process of making champagne, Dom Perignon is the jewel in the crown of Moet-Hennessy.
Sommelier Garry Clarke said: “Our ’12 Weeks of Champagne’ is all about celebrating the approach to Christmas.
“We have brought together some of the most exclusive Champagnes in the world, as well as some of the more unusual ones, for our guests and diners to enjoy.
“If you like Champagne The Chester Grosvenor is the only place to be from October to Christmas.”
