Montgomery County Toastmasters Host Two Special Area Dignitaries!

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 23, 2011 - The Montgomery County Toastmasters Club of Hillsboro, IL met at the Challacombe house on 10-18-11.  Eleven club members were present.   Ron Lawrence served as the evening's Master of Ceremonies.  Two special dignitaries from Area 1 of Toastmasters were present: Current Area 1 Governor Nate Randall and immediate past Area 1 Governor Chandan Bhagwat.

The first speaker was club member Dennis Viehweg. Dennis spoke about his volunteerism with the Litchfield community Christmas Basket program.  He has helped with this organization for many years, and spoke about how rewarding it has been to have done so.  

The second speaker was Chandan Bhagwat who delivered an informative speech  about "Attracting New Members".  Chandan's was a PowerPoint Presentation from the Successful Club Series.

Martha Ruppert was in charge of the impromptu speaking part of the program.  Each of 5 club members chosen had 2 minutes to speak on a different topic.  This made for some interesting responses.  

The Montgomery County Toastmasters Club will next meet on Tuesday, 11-1-11.  Once again, they'll meet at the Challlacombe House in Hillsboro from 7 PM to 8 P.M.. Guests are always welcome and encouraged to attend.
