Fast Retailing Inc.

Who’s Fast Retailing Inc? Well, if you are in New York City, you will see the gigantic Uniqlo store just opened, it is a massive 3 storey store. Fast Retailing Inc is one of the fastest growing Japanese retailers and it has huge ambitions to expand globally. The US expansion is its most important project for the company, its products are in high demand from consumers across Asia and Europe, and this store will be the flagship store in the world.

Some have mentioned the company will add around 1,500 employees, though this is unconfirmed, one thing for sure is that it is expanding and will require various sales & business development positions across North America.

Zions Bank

Zions First National Bank is a subsidiary of Zions Bancorporation, which operates through over 500 offices and 600 ATMs in 10 Western states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington.

As a full-service bank, Zions offers commercial, installment and mortgage loans; trust services; foreign banking services; electronic and online banking services; automatic deposit and nationwide banking and transfer services; as well as the more familiar checking and savings programs.

The bank has been growing, and as the result, it is currently building a new headquarter to expand its services and operations.

A recent survey has shown that small-medium sized banks have been highly profitable over the past 3 years, and probably have better management in place due to their more conservative approach as a “normal” bank. If you are looking for a career in the banks, take a look of these banks.

By the way, did you know that there are over 8,000 banks in the United States? While some big banks may have declined, many medium sized banks are the next big banks to replace them.

The Honda Aircraft Company

The Honda Aircraft Company has selected Greensboro, North Carolina for building its new HondaJet Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility. The facility is an expansion of its World Headquarters campus spanning 500,000 sq ft on 80 acres.

It will provide a variety of services including extensive overhaul work and repair and other heavy maintenance services. Honda Aircraft’s headquarter buildings, and manufacturing and R&D buildings are situated on its World Headquarters campus. The company has leased an additional 54 acres at the Greensboro Piedmont Triad Airport, which increases its total lease to 130 acres.

The MRO facility’s design is expected to be finalized in 2012 first quarter and would be followed by construction. The facility is expected to be ready for occupation in mid-2013 and will support the company’s entry into service and certification.

The majority of aircraft companies have their global headquarters based in the United States, either for maintenance or for training, aviation is actually a very fast growing sector in the United States, which also offer different career opportunities.
