Jeff Nimoy - The Cooking Caveman

Introducing Emmy Award winning writer/producer Jeff Nimoy to the world of food as the Cooking Caveman.

Oct. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Emmy Award winning writer/producer Jeff Nimoy, known to the world of animation as “The Spielberg of Anime,” is going by a new nickname these days.  He’s quickly becoming known as, “The Cooking Caveman!”

One day while researching a screenplay, Jeff accidentally discovered an existing diet called the Caveman Diet, also known as the Paleo Diet.  Basically, it’s achieving amazing health by eating what the caveman ate; organic foods that our bodies were genetically designed for.  The general rule of thumb is if you can eat it raw, you can cook with it on the Caveman Diet!  Jeff gave the diet a try for a month, and in those 30 days his health had improved so much, and his body had become so lean, he decided to dedicate his life to spreading the word of the Caveman!

A year after starting the diet Jeff began a blog, CookingCaveman.com, and within the first year he had thousands of readers.  He soon joined the ranks of the Internet’s other top paleo experts.  But what Jeff brings to the table that the other experts don’t is, he takes his old favorite pre-Caveman dishes, and recreates them into Caveman friendly, delicious meals.  His message is “Dieting Does Not Mean Deprivation!”  He has created hundreds of mouth watering recipes like fried chicken, pasta, apple pie, and ice cream (just to name a few), without the use of salt, gluten, grains, potatoes, dairy, peanuts, sugar, or any processed food whatsoever (and without breaking the bank on organic food).  Jeff has not been sick a single day since he went Caveman, and some of his readers have used his advice and recipes to completely reverse their health problems (ranging from acne, allergies, arthritis, high blood pressure, depression, diabetes, and even cancer).  He’s also very popular with Cross-fitters and Tri-athletes, who recognize the Paleo Diet as the optimal diet for a healthy body.

Jeff is currently planning a book on his caveman transformation that will include tons of his recipes as well.  He’s lecturing, and also teaching paleo to a select few professional chefs in the anticipation of opening his Los Angeles restaurant, “The Caveman Café.”

Before becoming a caveman, Jeff Nimoy wrote and voice-directed the top rated Fox Kids show “Digimon: Digital Monsters,” (he also voiced many characters in the series) and the theatrically released 20th Century Fox animated feature “Digimon: The Movie.” He voice-directed season one of the world's most popular anime series, “Naruto,” as well as a recent season of the popular anime series "Bleach." He also wrote for the anime series “Stitch,” (the new adventures of “Lilo & Stitch”) for Disney. Jeff is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
