BlendingSounds.com Launches Tutorial Service to Teach Children How To Sound Out Words

A new tutorial service is now offered to children in Chicago who are having problems sounding out words. This unique approach is explained in a book offered at www.blendingsounds.com

Oct. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- For the first time, BlendingSounds.com is offering a tutorial service in the downtown area of Chicago to children who are having problems learning to sound out words.  Parents can indicate their interest  in the service by sending an email to inquiry.support@blendingsounds.com.  The unique approach is based on the premise that often it is not phonics itself that causes the problem but the inability to grasp how to "put those sounds together".  The only prerequisite for enrolling in the tutoring program is familiarity with some sight vocabulary.  There will be no rote drilling on phonics.  A detailed description of the approach is in a book being offered on the website.

The author has used this approach successfully for many years.  Rather than memorizing sounds associated with picture words, there is no drill on initial consonant sounds.  Instead,  the knowledge of sight vocabulary words "automatically" teaches those sounds.  And, rather than sounding out words the conventional and often unsuccessful  way, a unique procedure is taught.
