Susan Croteau, Aspiring Social Worker available in Mississauga, Ontario

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 1, 2011 - Susan Croteau, an inspiring social worker has a strong desire to help improve people's lives. Child, family, and school environment are familiar territories for me to provide social services and assistance to improve the social and psychological functioning of the children and their families. Skilled at assessing the client’s needs and to offer assistance to improve their situation. This often includes coordinating available services to assist a child or family.  Familiarity with single parents needs as I have helped many in the past, volunteering my ear and heart to successful ends at assistance to better their lives. Finding day care, arrange adoptions, or help find foster homes for neglected, abandoned, or abused children is only part of what I do to make a difference on the lives of people like you and me that need help from time to time.
In schools, social workers such as myself, often serve as the link between students' families and the school, working with parents, guardians, teachers, and other school officials to ensure that students reach their academic and personal potential. Furthermore, assisting students in dealing with stress or emotional problems is very important. Many school social workers work directly with children with disabilities and their families. In addition, they address problems such as misbehavior, truancy, teenage pregnancy, and drug and alcohol problems and advise teachers on how to cope with difficult students.  I, Susan Croteau would like to prepare workshops, seminars and school drop in centres.  We would have talks about conflict resolutions, truancy, teenage pregnancy and more for anyone that is reaching out for help. To be part of improving a life is worthwhile is my goal.
