Alachua Fitness Studio Hosts Second Annual "Freaky Fat Loss" Halloween Pumpkin Workout

Oct. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Alachua-based fitness studio, Underground Fitness Revolution, is gearing up for its second annual "Freaky Fat Loss" Halloween Workout to raise funds for the Friends of Children. Participants will sweat and scream while performing a fat-burning circuit of exercises using pumpkins. Participants also have the option to wear a fun costume to the event.

Friends of Children was created to raise funds to establish a group foster home in Alachua County. Every year, local kids are separated from siblings when they enter foster care. In addition to dealing with the abuse, neglect or abandonment that lead to their removal from parents, these children must enter the homes of strangers without their brothers and sisters. Likewise, social workers struggle to find foster care for difficult-to-place older children and teens entering the system. A group campus in Alachua will alleviate these problems by providing a loving, stable family environment for these special kids.

This event will create an environment unlike any other fitness program in the Alachua area. "Working out on a consistent basis is not easy," said Nathan Trenteseaux, Owner of Underground Fitness Revolution. "We created this event to bring out the kid in all of our members and the participants of our community."

The workout will be 40 minutes long and is designed so that both novice and advanced participants can workout together and be challenged at their current fitness level. The second annual Freaky Fat Loss Halloween Workout event will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 10 a.m. at Underground Fitness Revolution in the Rolling Oaks Plaza (15202 NW 147th Drive, Suite 800) in Alachua. The event is open to the public and costs $10 per attendee. Participants must bring their own pumpkin to the workout.
