Follow the American Revolution: Retrace George Washington's Ten Crucial Days

The best way to honor veterans and America.

Oct. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Washington crossed the Delaware, so can you and follow his route to Trenton, Princeton and onto Morristown. Honor America's first veterans and heroes on their 235th commemorative.

Princeton Battlefield Society will give out a free map on Saturday, November 12th from 10-4. You can pick map up at Washington Crossing State Park in Pennsylvania and follow map with turn by turn directions on your drive. The route will also be marked by flags. A number of historical groups have programs and townships are participating.

To honor the past, the Princeton Battlefield Society is planning to "Follow the Revolution". As part of this commemoration effort, the Princeton Battlefield Society will be placing ribbon markers and flags along the route that Washington used from the Crossing to Trenton, Princeton, Kingston, Millstone, Pluckemin, and onto Morristown. The Princeton Battlefield Society will provide up to 2000 free maps for the public to use while they drive the route.

This will allow the public to follow the path of George Washington’s  valiant army as they fought and marched across the state to their camp in Morristown. The victories by Washington’s armies at Trenton and Princeton during the crucial ten days revived flagging patriot spirits and  saved the American revolution. Numerous local historic groups will have programs and townships will be supporting this effort.
