ATLANTA, Oct. 21, 2011 – The Wireless Technology Forum (WTF), the largest not-for-profit wireless association in the Southeast, today announced the winners for its 2011 Wireless and Mobile Media (WAMM) Awards, the regions premier mobile applications award ceremonies.
The WAMM awards were created to recognize the industry’s leading innovators in mobile applications and mobile media. The following are the winners representing the best mobile application and mobile person of the year awards:

• Mobile Commerce Person of the Year: Jack Dorsey (Square)
• Mobile Media Person of the Year: Louis Gump (CNN)
• Mobile Consumer Applications Person of the Year: Bob Kupbens (Delta Air Lines)
• Mobile Business Applications Person of the Year: Adam Clark (Fiserv)
• Mobile Person of the Year: Tim Cook (Apple)
The master of ceremonies for this year’s awards was Jeff Mucci, CEO and editorial director, RCR Wireless News. In addition to the awards ceremony, which was held in Atlanta at the AT&T Mobility Auditorium, the audience was thoroughly engaged by visionary speeches from Cameron Clayton (The Weather Channel), Ian Gellar (Pandora) and Jay Lee (ESPN).
A new addition to the 2011 awards was the listing of the “most innovative mobile companies to watch in Georgia”, which included FreebeePay, TripLingo, SaasMob, Centrafuse and ZOOZ Mobile.

About the WAMM Awards
Created to showcase the best in wireless and mobile media, the WAMM Awards recognizes the most innovative mobile application and media developers, their organizations, and the platform and infrastructure providers upon which the applications are built and delivered. Awards will be given in a broad range of categories, as selected by leaders in the industry and individual voters. Winners will be announced at the live event and via global web broadcast.
