Engine tuning specialist wins another ‘Innovation’ award

Oct. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Viezu Technologies, one of the UK’s leading aftermarket engine tuning companies, has picked up a second Innovation award in a matter of months and will now compete as a finalist in the national British Chamber of Commerce Awards.

Having picked up an ‘Innovation in Technology’ award from Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce during the summer, the company has now scooped the same prize for the West Midlands region, and will now go head-to-head with some of the UK’s most successful businesses for the Award for Outstanding Business Achievement, which includes a top prize of £25,000.

Viezu has received the awards for Blue Optimize, a CO2 reducing and fuel saving tuning service, which helps drivers save fuel and money, as well as reduce their CO2 footprint.  In just 36 months and since the launch of Blue Optimize, the company estimates that it has helped motorists to reduce their CO2 emissions by more than 50,000 tonnes.

Viezu’s expertise comes as a result of many years of research, development and experience in the automotive industry. The company’s in-house team of four specialist software engineers develop high-quality and reliable updates to a vehicle’s ECU, changing the performance characteristics from the original settings. The new settings can deliver significant improvements for drivers or tailored performance such as improved power, torque or fuel economy.

The company has now developed more than 15,000 individual ECU programs meaning that over 90 percent of all modern European vehicles can be tuned by a Viezu-approved dealer. In some instances Viezu’s products give drivers a massive 20 percent improvement in fuel economy offering businesses; in particular, potential savings of thousands of pounds every year and a rapid return on their investment.

With its growing reputation, Viezu has also reached the finals of the Midlands Business Awards in three different categories - innovation, exporter of the year and Entrepreneur of the Year for its Chief Executive Paul Busby.

Viezu will find out if it has won the national Chamber’ award at a ceremony at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms on 24th November.
