Urban League Employment Manager Named Chair for Essex County Employment Network


Newark, NJ – The Essex County Employment Network officially elected Glenn Best as the Chair person for the 2011-2012 year at their October meeting. Best serves as the Career Services Manager for the Urban League of Essex County. The Essex County Employment Network is a coalition of Community Based Organizations and Workforce Development Agencies. The Network seeks to exchange information on employment opportunities and other resources that benefit the unemployed and underserved populations they serve. The Network serves as a support mechanism for workforce development professionals to learn and disseminate information to help expand resources available and to continuously upgrade the knowledge of its members.

The other officers installed for the 2011-2012 year include; Lenora Gaskins of the Council for Airport Opportunity, Recording Secretary and Evanthia Corrado, NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Corresponding Secretary.
