Feb. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- I became a lawyer since I have always been interested in the law and I have always liked to help people.
I graduated from Portland State University with a BA in Political Science with minors in Business Administration and Accounting in August, 1973. Then I graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School, in Portland, Oregon in June, 1979, took the Oregon State Bar exam in February, 1979 and started my law practice in April, 1979. I took and passed the Washington State Bar exam in 1990 and got my license to practice in that state in June, 1990.
I have been a solo practice since I started in 1979. During my career as a lawyer, I have handled many different cases, I have done all sorts of criminal cases from traffic (some of which involved DUI cases where traffic deaths have occurred, and minor misdemeanor matters all the way up to capital murder cases. Among these cases have been arson, robbery, assault, ID theft, ( cases which involve a lot of accounting etc.) racketeering, a lot of different kinds of sexual assault and drug cases as well.
Even though post conviction relief cases have been filed alleging ineffective assistance of counsel, absolutely none of these cases have resulted in a person being granted post conviction relief based 011 l1l,V representation. It should be noted that most people who are imprisoned for long periods of time will file one of these in order to preserve all of their appeals and rights.
I have also done numerous juvenile dependency and I or termination of parental rights cases, where I have represented one or both parent(s) and children, plus delinquency cases where I have represented children again accused of many different crimes up to and including aggravated murder.
I have done a lot of family law cases including divorce, legal separation, modifications of custody, child and spousal support. In many cases this involves

a lot of negotiation to come to a workable agreement with the opposite spouse and their attorney, concerning the support, visitation, and property / asset division negotiations.
I have represented people in Guardianship and conservatorship cases, adoptions, wills, trust and probate matters. I have done quite a few appeals over the years, they have involved criminal and domestic relations matters.
During my career I have learned the art of negotiation for many cases end up in some sort of negotiated settlement and the overall results for clients have been favorable. When a client has to have a trial, that is fine, I do everything I can to be prepared and present the client's case in the most favorable light possible. I have won my share of acquittals for criminal clients, and prevailed in contested divorce and or modifications of custody and support, both as plaintiff and defense counsel over the years.
{{there are additional questions, I would be happy to answer.

William Brennan is a down to earth I just found this place when I moved to San Diego. They are all extremely friendly, and that is what brings me back. The touch isn't that soft when they are cleaning, but I had to get some cavities filled and they did a good job. The
