Denton said “We had a lot of great people come out today. Everybody had a blast, worked muscles they forgot they had, and best of all we raised $3,291 to help fund research that will further our progress towards finding the cure for breast cancer. We more than doubled what we raised last year.”
Denton says that it was a blast to hold such an amazing event and if you missed it not to worry, they will be holding similar events every month starting January 2012, which they call Boot Camps for a Cause, prompted by the overwhelming requests from participants. Fitness Revolution has raised over $6,700 for organizations in need with their Boot Camps for a Cause program.
"Fitness Revolution is committed to helping the Treasure Valley become stronger and healthier. Prevention is our approach to health, fitness, and life. The more people we can help prevent illness threw proper nutrition and exercise the stronger Boise will be. Helping people live the quality of life they deserve is the passion and purpose of Fitness Revolution, events like Get Moving – Boot Camp for the Cure allows us to give back to the community. Not only to help the individual participants, but also to help create a stronger healthier community at large.”
Participants purchased their tickets at http://www.getmovingforthecure.com and donated at the event. The Susan G. Komen foundation can always use more donations, if you missed the event and still want to donate just go to http://www.komenboise.org/
