Thomas P. Schmitt has been with the firm for several years. He is a native Floridian from the Palm Beaches. Schmitt has been practicing exclusively in the field of personal injury law for 22 years and has obtained verdicts and settlements in excess of a million dollars. He attended Oxford University (Exeter College) on a Rhodes, ESU scholarship and graduated from Stetson University College of Law with a J.D. degree. While at Stetson, Mr. Schmitt was a member of both trial advocacy teams, was president of the student division of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and was State Champion in the AFTL Mock Trial Competition. Mr. Schmitt has been inducted, for life, into the National Order of Barristers for his “Excellence and High Honors Through the Art of Courtroom Advocacy.” Among his many diverse interests, Thomas is an accomplished professional pianist, an avid boater, sketch artist and ballroom dancer.
Richard S. Wade has 12 years of litigation and courtroom experience. Richard was born in Columbia, Tennessee. He received his law degree from the University of Memphis. While in law school Richard clerked for the Tennessee Attorney General and served as a member of the Editorial Board of the Tennessee Journal of Practice and Procedure. Richard is licensed to practice law in Florida, Tennessee, Missouri and Pennsylvania. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Law School. Richard and his wife Allison, presently reside in Vero Beach.
