Follow on Google News | Sunrise Senior Living Bowls for a Cause to Benefit Alzheimer’s Association Long IslandSunrise Senior Living in West Babylon is spearheading a bowling event for the rest of the Sunrise communities that will take place November 3 at 300 Long Island, 895 Walt Whitman Road in Melville, from 1-3 p.m.

All proceeds will be donated to Alzheimer’s Association Long Island to help support a wide range of Alzheimer’s related programs for the thousands of local families and caregivers affected by this disease and the 2011 Walk to End Alzheimer’s/ Those who cannot attend can make a $10 donation to AALI. Reservations must be made by October 20. Currently, 5.4 million people in this country have Alzheimer’s disease and more than 60,000 of them reside on Long Island.
