TotoTown helps local groups and organizations in Bethesda fundraise through their daily deal website, which is similar to Groupon or LivingSocial. For each coupon sold, 20% is donated to the users’ choice of club, charity or non-profit.
Merchants advertise for free on TotoTown, while simultaneously supporting different causes in the community. Clubs, charities, and non-profits gain funds they sometimes desperately need, in a hands-off manner. And finally, customers get great local deals.
Diana, in addition to several others, entered the contest which was held all month at Bethesda Regal Cinemas and on October 1st at Taste of Bethesda. “I’m very excited. I never win anything…all my students knew what it was,” says Thompson.
