Oct. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- “Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD) is an evolutionary process not a disability,” asserted Dr. Kevin, author of “Managing the Gift of Your ADD/HD Child” on Lon Woodbury’s Internet Talk Radio Show “Parent Choices for Struggling Teens” on October 17, 2011 at LATalkRadio at http://www.latalkradio.com.

“By the mid-19th century, society started to transition from physical survival being a top priority to one with advancements that allowed more time to focus on improving our emotional, intellectual and spiritual selves,” Dr. Kevin explained, “which has resulted in an increasing number of people with rewired brains that bring an increased amount of innovation, insight, energy and the ability to think out of the box.”

“These creative people were very bright and were asking insightful questions that challenged the status quo and made adults uncomfortable,” Dr. Kevin continued, “and would better be described as Cultural Inconvenience Syndrome (CIS), and seen as something to control rather than celebrate.”

“With established institutions like underfunded public schools striving to maintain their status quo, and an increasing number of bright and insightful rebels questioning the traditional ways of doing things, mixed with single parent homes and parents who don’t know how to parent,” Dr. Kevin concluded, “we have developed a perfect storm of innovation and resistance that requires a whole new way of looking at the world and at what ADD/ADHD people can offer.”
