Mr. Hudson joins 11 other representatives from the sectors MiCTA serves, including higher education, K-12s, Libraries, non-profit organizations and healthcare organizations to provide guidance and direction to MiCTA. "Jim's extensive background in purchasing, especially at the community college level, will help MiCTA respond to the service needs of our growing community college membership,"
Mr. Hudson was appointed to the board to fill a vacancy and will serve as an At-Large representative through 2012. He has served as the Chief Procurement Officer at Ivy Tech Community College since 2007. Ivy Tech Community College is the largest community college in the United States with a single accreditation and operates 24 campuses throughout the State of Indiana.
Mr. Hudson is recognized as a procurement leader in higher education for his work to reduce operating expenses at Ivy Tech by more than $45 million. Mr. Hudson has also held procurement and supply management positions at the executive level in private industry. He has a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Master's of Business Administration, both from Michigan State University, and an Associate in Arts degree from Delta College in Saginaw, MI.
