PetsPopUp POP-UP Shop at the Roger Smith Hotel is transformed into a pet product and accessories mecca. From Flexible Height travel carriers made by Sturdi Products and raw, freeze dried treats from Stella & Chewy’s to Sam & Tasha’s pet fashions with children’s wear aesthetic, fashionable Poopy Packs™ from Metro Paws and Yeowww!® 100% filled with organically grown catnip toys from DuckyWorld, pet parents are guaranteed to find ways to spoil their furry family members this season. Don’t have a pet of your own? Shop and adopt! RS POP-UP is also teaming up with the Mayors Alliance for NYC’s Animals® to feature pets for adoption each day in the store. On Wednesdays throughout November, additional pets for adoption will be featured on the Mayor’s Alliance adoption van parked curbside from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Among the affiliate rescue groups that will be represented are Dog Habitat Rescue, KittyKind, Metropolitan Maltese Rescue, Picasso Veterinary Fund® of the Mayor’s Alliance, Posh Pets Rescue, Sean Casey Animal Rescue, and others. Join us for our opening reception with a special ribbon-cutting for the brand new Mayors Alliance adoption van on Wednesday, November 2nd, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Enjoy complimentary wine, Twisted Lemonade, and Pop Chips while meeting adorable animals for adoption or checking out the cool pet products for sale. Kevin Duck, co-owner with his wife Lisa of DuckyWorld (makers of the ridiculously potent Yeowww!® Catnip toys), say, "what a fantastic opportunity to find homes for loving animals. We work really hard to make high quality, fun toys for cats which humans get a kick out of too; so we very much appreciate this chance to work just as hard directly helping animals." Ten percent of all the proceeds from the pet products sold in the shop will benefit the Mayor’s Alliance and participating rescue groups. Beginning November 2nd, the shop’s hours will be 10:00 am – 7:00 pm, seven days a week. Pet adoption hours within the store will be Noon – 6:00 pm weekdays, and Noon – 5:00 pm on weekends. Additionally, the Mayors Alliance adoption van will appear outside the store every Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, coinciding with a weekly cocktail reception in the store (except Wednesday, November 23rd, the night before Thanksgiving) Stephanie Mattera, Spokesperson for the Mayors Alliance for NYC’s Animals, explains, "We think that the shop’s terrific location and the timing of the promotion heading into the holiday season will be a boon to adoptions by raising awareness and ensuring that more homeless animals find the loving homes they so richly deserve.” Come out and adopt a pet and shop all the products from Stella & Chewy’s, Sturdi Products, DuckyWorldYeowww!®!
