Chanhassen Fitness Revolution Hosts Charity Boot Camp for Lung Cancer – October

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 18, 2011 - Chanhassen Fitness Revolution is hosting its 3rd Annual Freaky Fat Loss Halloween Charity Boot Camp.  This year, Justin Yule, Fitness Revolution’s owner, has teamed up with one of his Chanhassen Boot Camp members, Shanna Ballsrud, co-founder of the A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation.  Together, Yule and Ballsrud are hoping to raise $1000 for lung cancer research.  

“Unfortunately, most people are just unaware of the facts about lung cancer,” says Ballsrud.  “Most people think it’s primarily a smoking related disease.  The reality is 60% of newly diagnosed cancer patients never smoked or quite decades ago.  Another fact that makes most people sit up is that lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer, yet for every $9 spent on breast cancer, only $1 is spent on lung cancer in the US.”  “We’re especially excited about the opportunity to raise money for A Breath of Hope doing a charity workout,” adds Yule.  “It just makes sense.”

The 30-minute workout which features pumpkin exercises is designed so both novice and advanced participants can workout together and be challenged at their current fitness level while having fun.  The Freaky Fat Loss Charity Boot Camp will be held on Saturday, October 29th at 9:00 am at Fitness Revolution in Chanhassen at 530 West 79th Street, Suite 120 (next to Golden Tan).  The event is open to the public.  Tickets are $25 with all the proceeds going to A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation.  Participants must bring their own pumpkins.
