The Violet Burning, tour on the heels of their career defining release; play Lebanon Valley College

The Violet Burning may be the best and biggest band you have never heard of despite performing together for 20+ years, selling more than 100,000 CDs, and performing several international tours.

Oct. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Lebanon Valley College is proud to present the internationally known independent rock and roll band, The Violet Burning, in concert on October 23, at 7:00pm.  The concert will be held at Lebanon Valley College,  in the Miller Chapel.  Admission is free for LVC Students with college ID. Tickets for the general public are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.  Tickets are available through http://www.iTickets.com

The Violet Burning has been making music since 1990 under the direction of creative front man Michael Pritzl. Pritzl is a prolific songwriter, his story is one of an endurance that is manifested in a host of albums (over 9 full lengths) and relentless touring throughout the U.S. and Europe. After years of touring Europe and on the heels of their latest album release, “The Story of our Lives,” they have announced a rare American tour. The album’s 34 songs are divided into three parts: Liebe über Alles, Black as Death, and The Fantastic Machine. The tour and CD release have attracted more attention and reviews than The Violet Burning has experienced yet in their 20 plus career.  Though Pritzl has surrounded himself with different musicians through the years, the music has never been compromised.  The fans keep coming back for the powerful, guitar-driven rock that the band, never fails to deliver.  This time that rock is enlivened with the drumming virtuosity that is Lenny Beh.  A stunningly emotive addition who also brings a innovative string section to the latest album release.

“I have been a part of ten concerts with Michael Prtizl and The Violet Burning in Central Pennsylvania.  Each concert has left me walking away amazed and craving more.  Few bands have found and defined their sound as well as The Violet Burning.  Everything is tight, unique and contagious. Just about everyone finds something in this band they like and their albums over the years.”
