Armstrong to Offer Study Abroad in Ghana

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 17, 2011 - Armstrong Atlantic State University will offer a study abroad program in Ghana in the summer of 2012. The three-week academic excursion will expose students to the history and culture of Ghana on the west coast of Africa. The program is open to students enrolled at any University System of Georgia institution. The application deadline is January 31, 2012. An information session, open to all students in the University System of Georgia, will be held at noon, Thursday, October 20 in the Student Union’s Tybee Island Room on the Armstrong campus, 11935 Abercorn Street. Representatives from financial aid and international education will present additional information about the program and the University of Ghana. Lauren Mason, Armstrong assistant professor of English, will lead the trip that runs July 10 through August 2, 2012.

The study abroad in Ghana is made possible by a partnership between the University of Ghana and Armstrong’s Office of International Education.
