The Preserve at Fredericksburg received the project of the year award for low rise Multifamily housing due to the project’s hill country design of 376 units that feature a mix of siding styles with muted desert colors, tapered stone columns, and standing-seam metal roofs to reflect heat. Water barrels for more than 100 mature oak trees lessen the impact from construction and the ongoing drought.
CF Jordan President and CEO, Darren Woody, stated, “We are honored to have our project recognized in such a substantial way. Our team was able to build a multi-award winning project with incredible features that are widely acknowledged.”
The Multifamily Executive judging criteria was based on innovation in architecture, suitability to target market, ability to work with government and community officials, strategic financing, and success in the market place. The competition garnered roughly 200 entries. Awards were announced at the annual MFE Awards ceremony in Las Vegas Nevada on October 4, 2011.
The Preserve at Fredericksburg has received multiple awards since its completion. Previous awards include: Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) 2010 Gold Nugget Merit Award: Best Multi-family Housing Project (Up to 3 stories), Texas Construction Magazine’s Best of Texas 2010, PCBC 2011 Gold Nugget Award: Best Multi-family Apartment Homes (Up to 3 stories) and 2011 Gold Nugget Award: Residential Project of the Year: Attached project within a suburban setting.
