Instruction in the 40 hour Introduction to PV Design and Installation course will include classroom and hands-on training at IMTI, where each student will be required to complete specific tasks related to Solar PV Installation. Course tuition is $750 plus the cost to purchase the required textbook, “Photovoltaic Systems” is $110 plus tax. The course will also be offered Dec. 1, 2, 3, 8 and 9, 2011 at IMTI.
“Our new solar training programs,” stated Marcel Veronneau, IMTI CEO, “allow more technicians to obtain jobs in the cutting-edge solar arena. IMTI’s training helps fill new job opportunities for working technicians as well as U.S. Veterans. Unemployed individuals may qualify for funding through the Department of Labor to offset the cost of tuition and should contact IMTI for more information.
This new 40-hour Introduction to Photovoltaic Design and Installation course is approved by NABCEP, the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners, and was introduced at IMTI in July 2011.
Founded by Marcel Veronneau in Waterbury in 1986, IMTI successfully trains electricians, plumbers, electronic systems and HVAC technicians in current technologies and job skills.
