Oct. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Due to the ongoing and resolute demand from his unwavering die-hard fans around the world, and in conjunction with the announcement that Award-winning Hollywood-based film producer Paul Mason is working on a new TV series for Australia’s original iconic wild man, adventurer and wildlife warrior, Alby Mangels returns with films that aired to the some of the highest ratings ever achieved around the globe, including 38 titles never seen before in Australia.

Alby Mangels is about to engage a whole new generation this Christmas, and in keeping with the sentiments of new starts and new beginnings, in 2012 Australia’s original wild man and wildlife warrior will be undergoing a complete make-over with Melbourne-based style consultant, Cindy Newstead: http://www.stylewithcindy.com.au. This is no mean challenge for Cindy as she will have to transform Australia’s original wild man and wildlife warrior, more famed for his micro shorts and outback adventures, ahead of Alby accepting an offer by Peter Adams, principal at Pascoe Vale North Primary School in Melbourne, to become “Principal for a Day”.

“I’m thrilled to be able to introduce my philosophies of life to a new generation,” says Alby. “The overwhelming message being that nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it. If you can dream it, you can do it – that’s the message I want to get across to kids.”

With Alby’s entire range of films just released for the first time ever an entirely new generation, not to mention the resolute die-hard fans around the globe, will be able to see first-hand how one man single-handedly changed the way people see the world.

ALBY MANGELS ~ ADVENTURE BOUND, the complete range, digitally re-mastered and released in its entirety for the first time ever, is available via his website now: www.albymangels.com. There are over 70 titles in the range, including three by Alby’s nephew Rick Snel, as well as the original World Safari sound track CD.  Bonus original “World Safari” posters and rare copies of his “Escape” magazine, all signed by Alby, are also available (conditions apply). The perfect Christmas gift for both die-hard fans and the new generation hungry for real-life heroes. Available exclusively at Bookland.net.au.

“I first heard of Alby through reading his biography Alby Mangels Beyond World Safari by Lynn Santer, and found his story utterly compelling,” says Peter Adams. “It was a fascinating story and one that I felt needed to be told again to a younger generation. Before Bear Grylls, Steve Irwin, and Paul Hogan, there was Alby Mangels – he was the original, the person who paved the way for everything that was to follow. Here he is again to show the young pups a few new tricks or two.”

Marie Claire Magazine called him “A little bit Elvis, a little bit Tarzan, and a whole lot of Errol Flynn”. To his fans he is simply “legend”. He blazed trails where people never imagined there were trails to blaze. He pioneered the reality adventure documentary genre, and never spoke out against his critics to glorify the massive philanthropic/social enterprise solutions he was working on to improve the lives of both humans and animals suffering around the world. He has personally planted thousands of trees, built homes for the homeless in Third World countries, put food into the mouths of those going hungry, and drawn attention through his films to the plight of endangered species. This remarkable unsung, softly spoken, kind-hearted icon of Australia is about to inspire a whole new generation.
