New Penang Eaterie Opening Today, Mama Lissa's Nasi Lemak Tradisi In Queensbay Area

Oct. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- A new Penang eaterie is opening its doors today with Mama Lissa's boasting a traditional menu of Malaysian fayre such as national favourite Nasi Lemak.

Mama Lissa's is a hawker stall in the trendy Queensbay area of Penang and its exact location is outside Queens Bistro to the rear of the Eastin Hotel.

Mama Lissa's is solely owned by miss Melissa who is an up and coming Malaysian business lady with a track record for success.

Commenting on her menu Melissa said "My grand mother was my major culinary influence and I have been using her favourite Melaka recipes to conjure up a traditional Nasi Lemak menu that puts the emphasis completely on great tasting food".

Mama Lissa's operating hours are from 11am until 11pm and interested diners can expect a lavish hawker feast that will not break their wallets with prices ranging from RM2.50 to RM5.00.

Mama Lissa's may be rolling back the culinary clock to a time when taste really mattered but their marketing acumen is definitely 21st century.

Melissa was quoted as saying "On opening day, between the hours of 5pm and 7pm there will be two guys dressed in imported from the USA authentic gorilla suits giving away free bananas and flyers in the immediate vicinity of Mama Lissa's. We have also launched Mama Lissa's Facebook page and we have a number of other low cost guerilla marketing techniques we plan to unleash on the Penang populace in the coming weeks".

There will be a set menu being served everyday with the addition of different special dishes added each day to give a variation to all our customers.

Penang is famed for its legendary hawker food and Mama Lissa's will be a very welcome addition to the gastronomic map of top Penang hawker food stalls.
