ScottMadden, Inc., is pleased to sponsor and present at the Electricity Pricing: The Impact of Regulation, Renewables, Distributed Resources, and Enabling Infrastructure Conference being held Monday, October 24th to Tuesday, October 25th at the Hilton Suites Magnificent Mile in Chicago, Illinois. This pricing conference, presented by EUCI, will discuss the impact of regulation, renewables, and enabling technologies, provide current perspectives and practices in pricing and in the evaluation of new technologies, and share the positions and concerns of regulators, staff, and utilities.
Rick Starkweather, Partner at ScottMadden, will open the conference in partnership with Michael O’Sheasy, Vice President of Christensen Associates, and will also moderate a panel discussion and Q&A session focusing on the impact of renewables on pricing. "This forum breaks down critical issues so that attendees can truly walk away with implementable information,"
said Rick Starkweather, Partner at ScottMadden.
Additionally, C. Scott Wilson, Partner at ScottMadden, will co-present with Allon Shiff, Vice President of Customer Value Programs at Comverge Inc., on “Demonstrating the Benefits of Smart Grid Investments.”
Based on a market case study, ScottMadden and Comverge will discuss specific value propositions, pricing implications, and lessons learned for demand response uses and benefits provided to a utility’s system, business, and markets.
C. Scott Wilson, Partner at ScottMadden, and Rick Starkweather, Partner at ScottMadden, will also be leading a workshop entitled “Distributed Resource and Smart Grid Investments:
Additional Benefits for Utilities, Customers and Regulators.”
This conference workshop will build on the Smart Utility Enterprise Value Framework introduced last fall by ScottMadden in the smart grid utility business planning workshop at EUCI's utility rates conference.
“Utilities are on the cusp of an historic transformation:
enabling simultaneous load and resource shaping by bringing intelligence to the grid. Identifying enterprise value beyond the commodity is key for CFOs and chief regulatory officers to secure permanent cost recovery for required infrastructure investments,”
noted C. Scott Wilson, Partner at ScottMadden.
