Oct. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- 3rd Annual Blessing Bags - A Hygiene Drive hosted by Disciples 4 Christ an Outreach Ministry to Texas Inmates.

Join D4C and TBN in HELPING 3000 Offenders Receive the LOVE of CHRIST THIS CHRISTMAS!

Dear Friend, we are working together with TDCJ in Gatesville Texas to supply a Hygiene Gift Bag to the offenders. With your help, we can reach out goal of 3000 men!

Each Bag Will Consist of:
• Body Wash
• Toothpaste
• Deodorant
• Hard Candy
• Spiritual Literature

Each bag will cost approximately $3.

The state of Texas does provide a few hygiene products (lye soap, tooth powder, tooth brush, and feminine products), but unless an offender has money on their account to purchase items like shampoo, deodorant, or toothpaste this might be the only products they have for the entire year.

Trinity Broadcast Network has partnered with D4C for our Hygiene Blessing Bag Drive. We have been invited to the "Praise the Lord" taping on Tuesday, October 25th, 2011. For each guest attending, TBN will sow a financial sponsorship towards our Hygiene Drive.

Each month, D4C will hold an event in the Rockwall/Greenville area to gather donations to pay for the pre-approved branded clear plastic items. We won't be able to put the blessing bags together until we arrive at the Gatesville Prison on December 3rd. The guards are ordered to search and review all that is brought in. Once we are processed our volunteers on December 3rd will be able to form an assembly line for the blessing bags to be assembled. We are a Texas based non-profit ministry with a heart and a call to reach incarcerated juveniles, women and men locally throughout the state of Texas. Our organization consists of women and men that have fallen and know what it means to have God’s grace to get back up. Our strength lies in our people and their desire to serve. We gladly take on the responsibility of being our brother’s keeper through encouragement, hands on assistance, referrals and inspiration. Disciples 4 Christ wants to break the generational curse of incarceration, and put a purpose and a meaning back into the lives and hearts of these individuals as they go back into society. Without a plan and a goal the statistics show that 1 out of 3 will be re-incarcerated within a year of their release.
