Whole Milk Recalled Due to Possible Improper Pasteurization

Oct. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Farmers All Natural Creamery in Wellman, Iowa is voluntarily recalling whole milk with an expiration date of October 22, 2011, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. The recall results from concerns that some of the facility’s milk may not have been properly pasteurized.

After analysis, the product tested positive for residual phosphatase, which indicates improper pasteurization. Therefore, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning the public against consuming the milk.

Farmers All Natural Creamery believes that 954 gallons of milk were sold to 4 distributors.
