Advise & Consult, Inc., a National Construction Expert Witness Firm Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 14, 2011 - What started as a one man company providing construction expert witness testimony for a few local law firms in Salt Lake City, is now a nationwide company with offices in 15 states. Eugene Peterson started out being called as an expert witness by the courts and getting paid just the nominal fee of any average citizen involved in the court proceedings. Seeing an opportunity to make a decent income as an expert witness he decided that he should properly align himself as a construction expert and to get the required information on not only being paid as an expert witness, but to excel and become a valued and trusted source. Mr. Peterson worked for many years in the construction industry and was president of both the Salt Lake Homebuilders Association and the Utah Homebuilders Association. Pairing his years of experience in construction with his new found knowledge of how to be a respected expert witness he was on his way. In 2001 he officially organized Advise & Consult, Inc. and after a couple of years wanted to help others that he knew across the country become experts and asked them to join him in his company.

In 2007, Advise & Consult, had offices in seven states with nine total experts on board. Since 2007, those numbers have grown to include fifteen states, 19 different office locations and 23 experts. Mr. Peterson's construction experience included restoration and working with insurance companies on estimates and insurance claims. He used the industry leading Xactimate software that provides construction estimates and reports. He soon became proficient in this program and was a very beneficial resource for those needing Xactimate training. He is one of only five Xactimate Certified trainers in the country that does not work for Xactware, the developers of Xactimate, and is in demand all over the United States to train and testify in construction cases and insurance claims using Xactimate.

Advise & Consult has experts ranging from general contractors, plumbing contractors, OSHA inspectors, architects, engineers and just about everything in between. Locations of the offices include the headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah as well as in Washington, California, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Minnesota, Tennessee, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, New Jersey, Connecticut and Michigan.
